Artist Shuttle Driver

You will be responsible for getting artists to and from off-site parking during setup Saturday morning and tear-down in the afternoon. Check with the show chair and/or management for the exact hours.

Please check your vehicle ahead of time for required maintenance and have a full tank of gas. Gas money may be reimbursable; check with the band treasurer. If you choose not to be reimbursed, thank you for your donation! If your vehicle has a high ground clearance, it would be thoughtful for you to provide a step stool, as many of our artists are elderly.

Artists should not be smoking or otherwise destructive to your vehicle. If you have any problems, be sure and let us know, right away! Such artists will not be allowed to participate in the show in the future.

A “Shuttle” sign should be available for you to display in your vehicle window. You may also wish to display a disclaimer of liability; while it may not be legally binding, and we have had no problems in the past, injuries are always possible. Please remember to drive carefully. If you have any questions about legal issues, please discuss them with the Boosters’ board.

A two-way radio should be available for your use; please get one from the Parking chair.

Artist parking is generally located at Harvey Elementary and/or Riverwood Church. Artists will be dropped off and picked up in front of the aux gym/cafeteria entrance at Ford II. You will likely be running a circuit of the three locations. Please, as you do so, if you encounter any parking issues, or artists who are not parking off-site as they should, let the parking crew know.

Please remember to be cordial and friendly; we pride ourselves on the service we offer our artists! It is a good idea to ask the artists what they think of the show, and pass this information along to the show managers; such feedback is invaluable as we plan future shows.

Thank you for volunteering for this important job!
